In-depth, on-site or online professional learning experiences

Learning Intensives

Customized in-person learning which may include any of the following:

  • Planning for the on-site professional learning experiences using a gradual release of responsibility model for teachers, instructional coaches, and/or principals

  • At least five days of in-depth professional learning from Ellin Oliver Keene

  • Demonstration and co-teaching including whole class, small groups, and student conferences

  • Reassessment of the school's or district's needs and assistance in developing a literacy action plan

  • All aspects of curriculum and instruction planning with teachers, coaches, and other school leaders

  • Individual consultation with teachers and teams

  • Book study facilitation

  • A comprehensive follow-up plan

Workshops and Inservices

Single day or multiple-day work during the school year or in the summer including:

  • Planning and assessing educators’ needs prior to the workshop

  • Creating a workshop agenda customized around those needs

  • Providing a dynamic, research-based workshop with plenty of opportunities to interact and plan with colleagues

  • Ample time for Q & A

Online Professional Learning

Customized online learning for one or more schools including:

  • Single or multi-day professional learning customized around the audience’s needs offered as a webinar during the school year or in the summer

  • Online professional learning including interactions with practicing teachers who have implemented the concepts discussed in the webinar

  • Book study and PLC facilitation
